Luang Pho Tho, Wat Phanan Choeng, Ayutthaya, Thailand
This image was made inside Wat Phanan Choeng, facing the monumental seated Buddha known as Luang Pho Tho. The figure dominates the interior, framed by densely patterned columns and a richly decorated ceiling. Two smaller attendant figures stand in prayer on either side. I stood close to the base of the statue, using a wide angle to include the surrounding structure and ornamentation. Intent was to record the scale, spatial compression, and visual density.

Storm Over Taipei, Taipei, Taiwan
Viewed from the upper levels of the megastructure Taipei 101, the image records the approach of a midday storm over the city. Low clouds stretch across the skyline as bands of rain move through the urban landscape, softening distant buildings and reducing visibility. The monochrome treatment emphasizes tonal shifts between cloud cover, rainfall, and the dense grid of structures below. The composition documents a brief atmospheric transition, where weather alters the scale and legibility of the city within minutes.

Monastic Basilica, Strahov Monastery, Prague, Czech Republic
The Monastic Basilica at Strahov Monastery exemplifies the theatrical richness of Baroque sacred architecture. The soaring nave is defined by rhythmic arches, elaborately carved choir stalls, and a continuous sequence of ceiling frescoes depicting biblical narratives, framed by ornate stucco work. Warm golds, soft pastels, and sculptural detailing guide the eye toward the illuminated altar, reinforcing a sense of procession & devotion.

Lightning 101, Taipei, Taiwan
An evening storm moved across Taipei with steady rain, followed by repeated lightning. This image was made from inside a hotel room, shooting through the window as the city lights remained visible beneath low cloud cover. Multiple lightning strikes occurred during the storm, but in this frame the discharge appears momentarily aligned beside Taipei 101, as if mocking and asking who’s taller. The brief illumination outlines both the tower and surrounding buildings before fading back into darkness.

Shot on Nikon Z8 and NIKKOR Z 24–120mm f/4 S lens 41mm, f/6_3, 30s and ISO 64 on 2nd September 2025

Jerusalem Synagogue, Prague, Czech Republic
An example of Moorish Revival architecture with Art Nouveau influences, the Jerusalem Synagogue is one of Europe’s most visually expressive Jewish sacred spaces. The interior reveals a strong axial symmetry—layered arches, stained-glass windows, gilded chandeliers, and an intricately patterned ceiling guiding the eye toward the Ark. The rich blues, golds, and warm reds create a dialogue between spiritual reverence and ornamental splendour. Shot on Nikon Z8 and NIKKOR Z 14–30mm f/4 S lens 14mm, f/7.

1, 1/15s and ISO 90 on 21st September 2025
